If you're one of many people round the world who has not yet switched to surround sound or a home theater system of some form you could be pondering what the large fuss is all about. There's nothing like being in the middle of the action and surround sound puts you in just that spot. You can hear the sounds the victim hears in your fave crime drama from the same direction from which she hears those sounds. Your heart will beat right along with subwoofer as expectation builds (pleasantness once more of the surround sound system) in your favourite suspense thriller. It is almost indescribably the way in which surround sound improves the film watching experience for even the most casual of flick watchers. I am going to be first to admit that I am infamous for knitting or reading while watching TV or movies and only looking up when something captures my attention-generally something I heard or a flash on the screen. This implies that sound essentially makes me focus on what is happening in the films that I'm listening to.
I have spotted a marked difference in my interest in flicks and TV shows since adding surround sound to our home theater system. More frequently I'm spotting that scarves and such take 2 times as long to do and I blame it completely on the better sound that is part to our surround sound system. You may not be someone that watches all that much TV or perhaps that goes to the films all that frequently.
If PC games happen to be your thing then you're going to like what surround sound can do for you. In case you have forgotten that little about it placing you in the middle of the action, this does wonders in game and provides critical hints to you as to what is happening around you. You can hear the criminals (or simply the opposite side) as they try to sidle up on you and know where they're coming from. You can hear the hoof beats in the distance or hear the fires burning in barrels off to your left. You can hear the starships flying by as if you were right next to them in the middle of it all.
For music lovers, you can feel as though you were sitting straight in front of the orchestra or on the front row at a performance for your fave band. If you're playing music that's recorded live you'll really enjoy the sensation of being in the middle of the group without the smoke and other smoke that may instead downplay your good time. Whether your first love is video, flicks, games, or music surround sound has a method to make each of those experiences even more pleasurable in the ease of your house.
